Sara :

Sara

Meet Sara our Early Years Practitioner in the baby room. Sara has a level 4 in Children's Care Learning and Development and is currently studying towards her Foundation degree in the same subject. Sara has over 6 years experience in the early years and loves working with the babies. She is passionate about messy and creative play.

Genna :

Genna

Meet our new Deputy Manager Genna. Genna has a CACHE Level 3 in Childcare and Education and has been working in the early years sector for over 12 years. Most recently Genna has been a Deputy Manager and Acting Manager at a successful Leeds nursery. Genna is passionate about messy play and the outdoors. Genna will be leading our Foundation Unit.

Lyssa :

Lyssa

Meet our Senior Early Years Practitioner Lyssa. Lyssa has just completed a BA (hons) degree in Childhood and Youth Studies and also has a Foundation Degree in Children's Care, Learning and Development. Lyssa has over 7 years experience working in childcare and is passionate about messy play and the value of play in young children's education. Lyssa will be leading our babyroom.

Lisa :

Lisa

Meet our nursery cook Lisa. Lisa has extensive experience of cooking in nurseries and schools. She is passionate about cooking meals from scratch, freshly baked bread and the value of growing fruit and vegetables with the children and teaching them how to cook.

Kate :

Kate

Meet Kate our Early Years Practitioner in the Pre-school room. Kate has an NNEB qualification and has been working in childcare for almost 30 years. Kate is passionate about stories, den building and making sure that children feel loved and secure. Kate will be working in the Pre-school room Tuesdays to Fridays.

Caroline :

Caroline

Meet Caroline our Early Years Practitioner in the Pre-school room. Caroline has an NNEB qualification and has been working in childcare locally for over 30 years. Caroline is passionate about storytelling and using props to engage young children's imaginations. Caroline will be working in the Pre-school room on Mondays.

Lindsay :

Lindsay

Meet Lindsay our Early Years Practitioner in the baby room. Lindsay works on a Tuesday 7.30-2.45 and all day Wednesdays as a job share with Sara. Lindsay has a Level 3 Diploma for Children's and Young People's Workforce and has over 4 years experience mainly within baby rooms. Lindsay is passionate about messy play and making children feel secure and happy at nursery. This has become even more important to Lindsay as she recently settled her own daughter in to the nursery.

Aimee :

Aimee

Meet Aimee who has joined us as an Early Years Practitioner full time in the Baby room. Aimee has a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for the Children and Young People's Workforce and has spent the last 10 years working in a local Children's Centre. Aimee has experience across all age ranges but has specialised in working with babies under the age of two and worked her way up to Room Supervisor in her last job. Aimee is passionate about messy play, outdoor play and looking after each individual child's needs.

Laura :

Laura

Meet Laura who has joined us as an Early Years Practitioner in the babyroom on Fridays as a partner to Tracey as a key person. Laura gained her NVQ level 3 in Early Years childcare and education in 2004 and has built up extensive experience with all age ranges from babies to school aged children. Laura is very compassionate and strives to understand and follow each child's individual needs and routines to give them the best care. 

Leanne :

Leanne

Meet Leanne who has joined us as an Early Years Practitioner in the toddler room full time. Leanne gained her BA in Primary Education with Qualified Teacher Status in 2015 and has lots of experience in working both in schools and in the Early Years. Leanne is passionate about making sure every child can be involved and is included and that children learn through play. 

Liz :

Liz

Meet Liz who has joined us as an Early Years Practitioner in the toddler room 5 mornings a week. Liz has her NVQ level 2 in Early Years education and has worked for many years across different pre-schools, out of school clubs and nurseries. Liz loves enabling children to be happy, have fun and enjoy their time in the nursery. Liz also has four children of her own at home which gives her a great understanding of life as a parent!

Sam :

Sam

Meet Sam who has recently joined us as an Early Years Practitioner in our toddler room. Sam qualified with a Level 3 Diploma in Childcare, Learning and Development in 2008 and has since had extensive experience working with children of all ages who have special educational needs and disabilities. Sam is passionate about making sure that learning is fun and tailored to suit each individual child's needs. 

Rachel Burton :

Rachel Burton

Meet our Head of Nursery Rachel Burton. Rachel has a BA (hons) degree in Education and Theology with QTS. Rachel has worked in Early Years for nearly 20 years including being an Early Years Ofsted Inspector prior to joining First Steps Nursery at Froebelian. Rachel is passionate about outdoor play and tailoring learning to each individual child's needs.
